What’s the story behind the company?
Formerly known as OriginalClick (Circa. 2001), Designed.co has become a premier design and creative agency, with an amazing team of in-house, US based, degreed designers with versatile and well-rounded design disciplines.
We believed that there was a better way to achieve great design without the headaches, so we built our own proprietary tools which include: a creative brief wizard for clients, an advanced project and asset management tool, streamlined written and visual communications and file proofing into a single platform we now call “The Hub”.
The Hub not only made life easier for our clients but allowed us to focus more time on design and art direction, and less on the day-to-day challenges most agencies face. This led to the development and offering of a premium, unlimited graphic design service, that incorporated leading talent, advanced tools and unparalleled service.
Today, Designed.co supports leading global companies including Fortune 500 enterprises, design agencies, as well as our fan favorite SMBs, entrepreneurs and start-ups.
What does unlimited really mean?
The Hub is designed to queue an unlimited number of projects for our clients and allows them to set and change priorities for active projects, on-demand. There are also no limits to changes, edits, and revisions. Although, the goal with our creative brief builder tool is to perfect designs on the first pass.
“Unlimited” to us is a state-of-mind more than a number of projects or changes. Taking away “limits” changed how we interact with our clients. Until now, clients had been focused on COST over CREATIVITY. The traditional agency model drove inefficiencies and cost that limited a brands’ vision to what was affordable or commercially viable. It’s a horrible culture that kills the creative process.
Designed.co clients are more focused on creativity, offering more ideas, projects, and dedicating more time to perfecting their vision and instead of having to limit themselves to “how much will that project, or a simple change cost?”
What we learned about the design industry is that both our designers as well as our clients are more creative, effective, productive and the end result is better when everyone is focused on the execution of ONE project. So, that is how we operate: one project a time.
However, we are still a traditional design agency, we still take on individual projects, work on retainers and do multiple projects at a time as needed, outside of our unlimited service offering.
How does Designed.co compare to hiring a freelancer or an agency?
What if you could have it all? The brand familiarity and oversight of an in-house designer, with the quality and versatility of an agency and the value and agility of a freelancer, without any of the downsides. There are no human resources to deal with, no hiring or onboarding, no bandwidth or scalability challenges, no lack of skill sets, and no overpriced, unmetered agency bills because you are paying a flat, predictable monthly fee. In my estimation, there is really no comparison.
In all fairness, this is genericizing a bit, they all have their upsides, so I don’t want to take away from the value of all designers’ individually or the design community as a whole.
How can the pricing be so low?
We wouldn’t say the pricing is low, we would say we’ve found the perfect value equation: Less process + streamlined client communication + focused designers = lower cost, and higher-quality productivity. We are certainly not the least expensive, as compared to the other Unlimited Design service providers, but we bring a lot of value for a premium service.
Value is embedded in the way we work, and we’ve built our tools and processes around this principle.

We design all things print and digital, with some exceptions. Basically, we don’t currently design anything 3D (with the exception of package design), Video, or Animation. Although we do web and app DESIGN, we do NOT offer development.
However, we are resourceful and have amazing working relationships with trusted companies in all of the areas that we don’t offer that are aligned and often refer our clients to great companies to meet their needs.
As an example, we have a myriad of web development agencies and freelancers and have even created a handoff process for digital assets to be developed to pixel level perfection.

What is the turnaround time?
The short answer is expediency without sacrificing quality. This translates to 1-2 business days on more than 90% of projects. Over the years, we have clearly defined “standard projects” so we can quickly identify timing. However, larger, more complicated requests, that follow detailed brand guidelines, may take longer. We also encourage clients who want more creative time, art direction and extended deliverables to add time to projects.
The best part is that we excel with time management and communications and have built some intelligent project management tools that bring extreme transparency to all deliverables.
Who owns the creative work? Do you work on multiple brands?
100% of the work, with the exclusion of licensed stock photography, is owned by the client, no royalties, and no limitations on use. That also means access to original source materials which we always open up to clients.
The Hub allows clients to create and add an unlimited number of brands where we house all branding, creative and background information including brand guidelines, fonts, presentation materials, and tie all creative briefs to those brands.
How do I manage requests? Any details I should include?
Leave your worries about what to include at the door. We went beyond generic request forms to help clients extract their vision and turn them into functional creative briefs. The Hub turns creative briefs into actionable tasks, with streamlined communication, collaboration and asset management all in one place. This allows clients to literally “drag and drop” priorities in the order they want, on-demand. This allows our creative team to focus on deliverables rather than project management and execute projects faster.
What if I have an urgent request?
You can always reprioritize projects as needed, and we’ll react. In the real world, we know planning ahead isn’t always easy so we’re always here to help meet expedited deadlines on a case-by-case basis. We also offer individual project quotes if they don’t fall within the guidelines of our unlimited offering.
Where are you located?
We are based in sunny, palm tree-lined Miami Beach, Florida. We are home to the Design District, Art Deco District, Wynwood, Art Basel, and the leading international contemporary art fairs. Our office is located on the street of world famous Lincoln Road. We also maintain offices in New York and Chicago where our original agency was founded. Visitors are always welcome to our office at 1688 Meridian Ave, 7th Floor, Miami Beach, Florida, 33139.
One of our key differentiators is that ALL of our designers are full-time, dedicated, salaried employees that work in our physical offices. That means no remote, no offshoring, no freelancing or 3rd party outsourcing, which is common across all of the other unlimited design service providers. This means Designed.co has more control and oversight of our staff which translates to responsiveness, localization and brand familiarity for our clients.
What are your working hours? Available on weekends?
Our client hours are Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm (CST)
However, we are in the office from 8am to 7pm Monday through Friday and 9am – 1pm on Saturdays, with extended remote hours and Sundays as needed for traditional agency clients, and highly expedited projects.
What design software do you use?
Here is what our TechStack looks like
- Design - Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator for print and traditional design projects and Figma & Sketch for digital projects including web and app design projects. As an added value we include handoff of web and app design projects to dev teams in Zeplin.io
- Communication - The Hub is home to all of our client communications, including chats on the design or overall projects. However, we have more recently integrated this chat out to Slack so external teams can continue to work in the environment they are comfortable with.
- Project Management - For design projects, we utilize "The Hub" and infernally we use Wrike for operational project management and agile development tasks for continual improvements to The Hub.
- Visual Proofing – We’ve built an amazing online tool that allows hands-on design proofing, so no more scanning in corrections. You can communicate directly on the design.
- Collaboration - Our secret sauce internally is a Jamboard, if you don't know what it is, Google it. We love whiteboards but this is next-level collab and allows our teams to be just as effective remote as they are in the office. Combine this with our internal tools and processes and you have the crown jewel of collaboration.
- eMeeting - Google hangouts + Jamboard + Join.me (for clients)
- Productivity - We track internal productivity down to the mouse movement. Literally… We also utilize a screenshot tool that gives both our agency and clients full transparency on what is being worked on and for how long.
Can I invite team members to collaborate in making design requests?
There are no limits to the number of users on a project and we have hierarchical processes approvals for more advanced workflows.

Our goal is to make life as easy as we can for our client’s and fit into their workflows utilizing the tools that we have at hand.
